तीन- तीन गधों का बोझ - अकबर बीरबल की कहानी
बादशाह और उसके दो पुत्रो को नदी में नहाने का शौक था। बीरबल भी कभी-कभी उनके साथ नदी जाता था पर कभी नदी में नहाता नही था। बादशाह और उसके दो पुत्र एक दिन बीरबल के साथ नदी में नहाने गए और नदी में नहाने लगे। बीरबल नदी के किनारे जाकर बैठ गया और बादशाह और उनके पुत्रो के वस्त्रों की नदी किनारे रखवाली करने लगा। बीरबल ने उनके वस्त्र अपने कंधो पर टांग लिये। बादशाह को बीरबल को हमेशा से छेड़ते रहने की आदत थी। नदी में खड़े खड़े बादशाह सलामत ने बीरबल को छेड़ा और कहा कि ऐसा लगता है कि तुम्हारे कंधो पर एक गधे का बोझ लदा है।
बीरबल भला कब चुप रहने वाले थे तुंरत बोले, "हुजूर एक नही दो नही तीन गधों का"
बादशाह यह सुनकर फौरन चुप्पी साध गए क्योकि तीनो के वस्त्र बीरबल ने अपने कंधो पर लटका रखे थे।
