राज्य में कौए कितने हैं - अकबर बीरबल की कहानी
एक दिन अकबर अपने मत्रीं बीरबल के साथ अपने महल के बाग में घूम रहे थे | अकबर बागों में उडते कौओं को देखकर कुछ सोचने लगे और बीरबल से पूछा, “क्यों बीरबल, हमारे राज्य में कितने कौए होंगे”?
बीरबल ने कुछ देर अंगुलियों पर कुछ हिसाब लगाया और बोले,”हुज़ूर, हमारे राज्य में कुल मिलाकर 95,463 कौए हैं”
"तुम इतना विश्वास से कैसे कह सकते हो?"
हुज़ूर, “आप खुद गिन लीजिए", बीरबल बोले
अकबर को कुछ इसी प्रकार के जवाब का अंदेशा था।
उन्होंने ने पूछा, ”बीरबल, यदि इससे कम हुए तो”?
"तो इसका मतलब है कि कुछ कौए अपने रिश्तेदारों से मिलने दूसरे राज्यों में गये हैं"
"और यदि ज्यादा हुए तो?"
"तो इसका मतलब यह हैं हु़जूर कि कुछ कौए अपने रिश्तेदारों से मिलने हमारे राज्य में आये हैं", बीरबल ने मुस्कुरा कर जवाब दिया।
अकबर एक बार फिर मुस्कुरा कर रह गये।

One day, Akbar was roaming in his palace garden with his friends Birbal. Akbar began to think about the flying peasants in the gardens and asked Birbal, "Why Birbal, how many crows will happen in our state"?
Birbal put some accounts on his fingers and said, "Huzur, there are 95,463 crows in our state"
"How can you say with such confidence?"

Akbar had a sense of similar type of answer.
He asked, "Birbal, if less than that"?
"So it means that some kaws have gone to other states to meet their relatives"
"And what if there are more?"
"So it means that some huskers have come to meet our relatives in our state," Birbal responded smiling.
Once again, Akbar was silent and kept smiling.
